Environmental Management in Agriculture and Natural Resources Major (EMANR)
Undergraduate Coordinator: Susan Curry (scurry@ufl.edu)
For information regarding the Indian River EMANR program in Fort Pierce, please contact Jackie White (jkwhite@ufl.edu).
The Interdisciplinary Degree in Environmental Management in Agriculture and Natural Resources (EMANR) is managed by the Soil and Water Science Department. This major is for students who desire education in environmental management with substantial emphasis on agriculture and natural resources. Farmers and those working with the agricultural community must be able to deal in an informed manner with an astonishing array of regulations and permitting requirements established by various agencies and jurisdictions. In addition, farmers must provide food and fiber to our growing population in an efficient and environmentally-sound manner. The EMANR major is designed to integrate the mix of agricultural and environmental issues which need to be addressed in modern agriculture. View the brochure for more information.
