The WBL has state-of the-art instrumentation for the analysis of soils, water and other environmental samples. Major research instrumentation includes:

-Isotope ratio mass spectrometer

-Elemental analyzer (Thermo Flash EA 1112)

-Total organic carbon analyzer (Shimadzu TOC5050A)

-Discrete nutrient analyzer (Seal AQ-2)

-Continuous flow nutrient analyzers (4)

-Gas chromatographs (TCD, FID, FPD and ECD detectors)

-Dionex DX600 ion chromatograph

-Scanning spectrophometer and fluorometer

-Cryogenic extraction line for CO2 isolation
