Research
My research area is best management practices in agriculture. My focus is to improve nutrient use efficiency and reduce their loss. I am interested in using the old philosophy of nutrient recommendation with current precision agriculture tools to improve crop yield and quality. My goal is to develop economic nutrient recommendation models to reduce fertilizer use and improve crop yield.
I am a member of the UF/IFAS Nutrient Management Program research team. As such, I am involved in the follow research projects:
- Advanced Tools to Estimate Crop Nitrogen and Phosphorus Requirements (Lead Investigator)
- Phosphorus Fertilizer Source and Application Timing for NE Florida Potato Production
- Developing Potassium recommendations in potatoes in Florida sandy soils
- Using Artificial Intelligence for Improved Crop Nutrient Management
- Hemp Fertilization Research and BMP Development
You can find more information about these project here.
