Past Undergraduate Research
In addition to research projects completed during the BioEnergy and Sustainability Summer Internship Program, the BEST Lab has provided opportunities for undergraduate students to conduct research as McNair Scholars and University Scholars.
Extension and Outreach Opportunities
Extension projects can be conducted with credit by arranging and enrolling in SWS4900 Supervised Extension Experience in Soil and Water Sciences.
Compost Cooperative and Gardens
Students can also gain outreach experience by participating in outreach activities of the Compost Cooperative and Gardens (CCG). The CCG is a cross-disciplinary outreach program dedicated to promoting sustainability at the campus and community level. Student members learn about composting while participating in the composting process and have the option of using the compost in garden plots on site.
