Education
The goal of our education section is to provide parents and teachers with materials for all ages to integrate wetlands learning in their students' curriculum. The following are links to sites (mostly government and non-profit based) that have lesson plans for wetlands activities, including group experiments and investigations, reference material, fact sheets and even suggested reading.

Broad-based water resource activities developed, field-tested, and reviewed by over 600 educators and resource managers working with 34,000 students nationwide.
USGS Fragile Fringe - A Guide for Teaching about Coastal Wetlands
Multi-unit curriculum on wetlands, including an age-appropriate focus for elementary, middle, and high school students. This site also includes a reading list of relevant books for grades pre-K through 8.
The US EPA's Games, Quizzes, and Videos section has a variety of environmental topics, including WaterSense for grades 3-7.
Wetlands Reading List for grades pre-K to 12 from the US EPA categorizes books into the Primary, Elementary, Intermediate, and Secondary levels.
The Southwest Florida Water Management District offers free publications on a variety of water topics. The St. Johns River Water Management District also has an educational resources webpage for all ages. The South Florida Water Management District has an education center webpage as well.
The US EPA's How's My Waterway features information on the condition of local waters based on data that states, federal, tribal, local agencies and others have to provide.
The Water Drop Project was developed as a program for Girl Scouts of the USA by members of the US EPA. Lessons in the program are free for anyone to use.
