SWS 4231C: SOIL, WATER, AND LAND USE
About the Course
In this course, students will develop quantitative and conceptual skills to evaluate the effects of land use decisions on soil and hydrologic processes. Topics include the suitabilities and limitations of soils for different uses; using soil surveys and related information to plan for the use and management of land; behavior of water in soils and landscapes; and policies for and implications of water allocation among urban, agricultural, and natural resource uses.
