About the Course

This course presents an in-depth treatment of global elemental cycles in the context of Global Change. Topics covered include properties of and transfers between the key reservoirs of C, N, S & P, the coupling of biogeochemical cycles and climate, and human modification of the Earth System. Discussion of ecosystem services provided by soils and sediments in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems are also emphasized.
